My internet is the suck!!!

Well, my modem, anyway. Outdated model? lol... in any case, it's not picking up signals right anymore, so the guy is coming tuesday between 5-7PM to do on-site troubleshooting. So they say. 'cause the phone guy and I talked for a long time and tried stuff and it's just not workin. Silly internet. heh it's amazing how my morning and evening routines change when the computer is not involved, though.

Other things...

Work is boring, but work is always boring. I dunno if i mentioned this here but I redid my schedule so I'm working saturdays now. Instead of tuesday mornings. I need one morning a week that i can do early morning practicing, and that I can schedule my various appointments in greensburg and latrobe and not have to worry about taking off from work. As it is I'm going to have to miss classes sometimes, meh.

Speaking of classes, I need to order my textbooks, and since my balance transfer went through I can do it now without having to worry about giving amazon and ebay a new CC number.

I got one of those phishing emails from bank of the west or some such the other day. it's a total copy of the real site's 'beware of internet security and fraud' etc etc site except at the bottom it's like 'help protect your account through this third party system' etc and it wants your account number and pin and whatnot. I was like, you suck at life, and submitted an account number that consisted of "you suck" and a pin that was "at life," then forwarded the email to the real bank of the west site, since that's what the real site said to do. Not that that does any real good, but telling people they suck at life was fun for me.

Then I proceeded to run a gajillion scans to make sure the evil site I didn't really intend to click to but did anyway didn't put anything nasty on my computer for me. 'cause I really don't need that.

Anyway... point of that ramble was just to express how much I think it sucks that people do stuff like that, all the time, and people fall for it and then their financial life becomes hell. Dumbasses. The people that make those things, not the people that fall for them.


Tonight I am further cleaning the apartment, hopefully sorting some things... and vacuuming, 'cause it needs it like whoa... possibly tackling the kitchen floor, but I haven't decided yet. It is the gross and needs it, but I may wait till tomorrow. My goal is to have my room and the living room clean by tomorrow night so I can start contemplating the moving of the furniture around. I need to acquire another bookshelf soon. Christine and I were discussing sharing one, the end of last semester, which I'd still like to do. Debating taking my smaller one into chris' and my room and putting it where the keyboard used to be. I dunno. Not like that space can be used for much else. Long as it fits lol that's gonna be the hard part.

I go home two weeks from yesterday, that's gonna be nice. Not working for a week or two maybe is gonna be nice, too. I haven't decided if I'm coming back to work the week of the 22nd or not, either. That'll be fall work study which I will need to use.

heh less than two months till I get my financial aid and pay off my credit cards... yay... this fall is gonna be really financially tight, but at least I won't have debt beyond my student loans.

Wow. I just talked a lot.
